Sigma Price

Just wondering what Sigmas are going for in your area. I see they are around $280 on budsgunshop.com but Gander Mountain is trying to push them on people for $350 here in Greensboro, NC.

i bought mine for 300 and price has gone up to 330.
now im not sure what reasearch youve done on this gun but dont let it be a impulse buy. its not the worst gun but the trigger sucks im not sure what you are getting it for but i shoot alot and i was soooooooo inaccurate with this gun it was me not the gun its just the trigger pull was unlike anything else ive shot. so please do reasearch before you buy. i didnt and took a big loss on selling one month later then the guy i sold it too sold it 2 weeks later. i bet my old sigma will have many unhappy owners

Oh I have heard all about the Sigmas. I don't plan on buying one anytime soon but I am doing a little research on an inexpensive 9mm. Since S&W does have a good reputation for warranty it is one that I am considering. It would just be a throw around gun that shoots cheap ammo at the range.

for that it would work i would rather spen a little more but if that isnt an option then ok. i would use it for self defence though
and another plus shooting the sigma helps you shooting on other guns since you need great trigger control to shoot the sigma if you can hold a 4 inch group on it i dont see why you couldnt hold a 1 inch on the xd

Don't buy a Sigma! I bought one, got hashed on the price and I hated it. It has a really long, heavy trigger pull. It doesn't have any external safety's except a trigger safety, just like a Glock. And yeah, I couldn't hit crap with it. If I were you, I'd look for another gun.

If you want a Smith, I've got a buddy who is trying to sell a 910, I can get you in touch with him. Send me a PM if interested.

It seems that roger and I have been discussing this a lot lately, eh roger?

He doesn't like the Sigma, obviously. But, I've said it before and I'll say it again (and probably again) I LOVE mine. It's a great 9mm, shoots as accurately or better than my XD (could be my problem, not the XD) and hasn't had a single FTF or FTE since I got it 3 years ago. I've put over 1500 rds through it. So, there you go.

Mine was about $320 locally (which generally runs high).

And the trigger pull improves DRAMATICALLY with age. I promise.

I've never even heard of that... I've heard other criticism, but not that one.

Wow! I know it CAN happen, I just didn't know it HAD happened to someone. Mine is all in one piece after many more than "a few 100 rds."

Have you considered a Taurus 24/7 Pro 9mm 17mag? (Flame suit on) It's a little bit of a different animal than the XD (SA/DA, manual safety, overlayed rubber grip), but if you were looking for another XD, you would get an XD.

With the new 809 due out soon, you might find a good price. The last I checked locally (NC), they were $360 black and $380 SS.

I'm sure there will be some replies that have negative remarks about this gun and I completely welcome that. I know two people who own and recommend them, but would like to hear the other side of the story.

It's so hard to consider other poly pistols once you have an XD.
