Allen Texas anyone????

Hey peeps, I live in las vegas ... and i just got a job offer that would place me in Allen Texas? Can anyone give me any information about Allen... I just want to know if it's a "family oriented" community and if it's a good place to live...

You're coming from Vegas to Texas...ANYTHING within our borders is more family oriented than Sin City.

Seriously, Allen is outside Dallas and yes, its a nice place to live. Texas in general is a fairly conservative and friendly place...welcome...you won't be going back.

(also, buy whatever guns you want...we don't have the silly laws many states way west and east have)

I played against Allen in high school football. It is a nice town and they love football there. It is very family friendly.

The things that surprised me the most when I moved here were:

Guys with jeans that are starched and pressed to a point where the front and back seams have fade lines.

When driving on a two lane road, if someone comes up behind you it is customary to drive on the shoulder to let the other car pass.

U-turn lanes on freeway service roads that let you avoid the intersection.
