Was it just me or did Mrs Edward's words seem scripted? Why did it seem like she was reading off a cue card? Also, why did she bring up stuff that was at least 3 years old? Did it not bother her until now? Sorry, but I am not buying that.

Ann Coulter is wrong for throwing the bombs she does, but the Edwards are an easy target for anybody on the right...or any clear thinking American, when you get right down to it.

Yeah, Im going to let you in on a little secret us North Carolinians know John is not exactly, shall we say, a manly man. I have a feeling his wife does alot of the driving in that relationship, if you catch my drift.

The Globe cited an example of Edwards' oratorical skills from a medical malpractice trial in 1985. Edwards had alleged that a doctor and a hospital had been responsible for the cerebral palsy afflicting then-five-year-old Jennifer Campbell.

'I have to tell you right now -- I didn't plan to talk about this -- right now I feel her (Jennifer), I feel her presence,' Edwards told the jury according to court records. "[Jennifer's] inside me and she's talking to you ... And this is what she says to you. She says, 'I don't ask for your pity. What I ask for is your strength. And I don't ask for your sympathy, but I do ask for your courage.'"

Edwards' emotional plea worked. Jennifer Campbell's family won a record jury verdict of $6.5 million against the hospital where the girl was born -- a judgment reduced later to $2.75 million on appeal. Edwards also settled with Jennifer's obstetrician for $1.5 million.

This thread should be renamed from Edwards vs Coulter, Round 1 to Edwards vs Coulter, KO by Coulter. Edwards' wife should never have gone after Ann Coulter. Edward's wife had her head handed to her.

Many liberals do not like Ann Coulter. She is conservative with a capital "C." She is not ashamed of her beliefs. She is not intimidated by political correctness. She is extremely bright, with a wicked-quick wit. You debate her at your own risk.

It is disappointing to hear people who may disagree with her call her rude names. It is disappointing to hear people who may disagree with anyone to resort to name-calling. Such name-calling is an admission that you have lost the argument and you cannot prove your point on the basis of facts. It is a last-gasp effort to try to strike out at your opponent and inflict one last injury. Sadly, it is a technique used mostly by liberals.

AND Ann Coulter. Look, I am not a liberal, but the only thing this woman has going for her is the fact that she says things that only fat men usually say and she has long legs.

On John Edwards who said that his son dying was the most important fact of his life Ann Coulter responds:"take down all those 'Ask me about my son's death in a horrific car accident' bumper stickers"

Hell, this guy had his only son killed in an auto accident when the kid was 16. Edwards had to ID the body and crawled up on the coroners table and held his kid and that was the last he saw of him. I have two boys and I think if that happened I would go crazy. He refused to talk about it when he first ran for the Senate but that was not possible when running for Prez. If you do not like the fellow, you respond to this by saying "do you know what he would do with your taxes." Not laugh and make crass comment like Paris Coulter.

Granted the guy is kind of a weiny, but there is a limit in adult discourse.

Her problem is when the focus gets off her legs, she has to say something spectacular to get the cameras back on her.
