ahhh....I see.

Your original post made it sound like he thought you were too fat to stand beside him at the altar.....like you might make him look bad or something.

It made it sound like he wanted you to lose weight for HIM not for YOU!

Good luck! I lost 20 pounds last year, just by eating less and eating some of my wife's weightwatchers food.

If you drink soda take it totally out. Ive cut back DRASTICALLY on soda and other drinks with high fructose sugar and I've noticed a difference in the way I feel and skin complexion.

wear a pedometer. Take 10,000 steps a day. When you get consistently above 10,000 then push it up some more.

Cut out all sugary drinks like soda. I had several clients, ( i was a personal trainer) who cut out soda and replaced with diet coke. Within the first 2 weeks they lost 15 pounds easy.

After that, start cutting out other sugars and cutting your portions. Portion control is a big epedemic in the US. for some reason people just eat everything that's in front of them, instead of stopping and getting up from the table.

Then cut out the Alcohol, (has twice the calories per gram as carbs or protein)

Then cut out the empty carbs, (keep good carbs like veggies, fruits, fibers, etc.)

Most importantly, to lose 100 pounds you have to do more than just walk. Walk like you are, but add 1hour of resistance training 6 days a week. This can be bodyweight exercises at first until you start to lose a few.

Finally put that picture of your Kimber up on every wall so you know what you'll be missing if you fail. This bet could actually save your life, you should thank your friend.

The most common reason I've heard from quite a few people is they feel like they're wasting money if they don't eat the entire plate. Sad but seems like we're taught to make our money stretch as much as possible even at the expense of our health. The best thing to do is to literally "drive-thru" the fast food window go home and have a healthy meal to eat!

You cant let him have that Kimber, any safe way you can lose the weight try and do it. Dont do it for him though, do it for yourself.

I sent him a pm and asked him to respond on the thread. We'll see what happens. I hope for the best for him.
