puzzle/ with solution
it is doable.
http://freeweb.siol.net/danej/riverIQGame.swf (read the rules) The rules are: Click on link then click on blue circle. Use the rules below. This is going to do your head in, but it can be done. I've worked it out. Apparently this is an IQ test given to job applicants in Japan: "Everybody has to cross the river". The following rules apply: Only 2 persons on the raft at a time The father can not stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence The mother can not stay with any of the sons without their father's presence The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft To start click on the big blue circle on the right. To move the people click on them. To move the raft click on the pole on the opposite side of the river.

This puzzle is unfair becuase everyone naturally assumes the theif will take off running so they can't be alone. although I conted on it being something like that, as I used to have teacher that loved to do puzzles where the question was never what ya thought it was going to be. Ex- A train has 3 pass stops picks up 5 lets off 2, stops again picks up 10 none get off, makes another stop lets off 3 picks up 4, stops again lets off all but 2, stops again and picks up three lets off 2. How many stops did the train make. seems simple but you get wraped up in the peopel getting on and off-oviously this would be read to someone.
