Actually, it is a collectible worth about 75 dollars. It was only made from 1951 to 1953 and distributed on the west coast. The design represented a major shift at Coleman using an art deco style to place form on par with function. This is because it was marketed towards the new suburban population rather than hardcore outdoors enthusiasts. Further, it was the first year they used a polystyrene insulating material, which was another breakthrough. I'm kidding. I just made all that up. It looks like a dinged up old cooler.

LOL..
I actually love old Coleman stuff, thats mostly what I use when I camp. I have about 10 1950's Coleman lanterns, and a 1950's Coleman Ice chest. They all work like new. They are 57 years old, I mean think about what they have been through, how many times they have been camped with and they still light up bright like no other.. I think thats pretty neat. I bought most of them for around $2 each at garage sales.

Not surprised. My Coleman lantern is from the early 60s, and my stove is from the late 60s, and both work great. They were my grandfather's and were passed down to my brother and I when he passed away in 91.

Its not like that cooler is an old metal red Coca-Cola cooler.
Yes, its cool and sort of retro 60s style, but if it was pristine...it MIGHT fetch 50 bucks but as dented as it is...forget it.

It would make a neat container for flowers or something, but not for 50 bucks.

They also had their tail gate on their Chevy s10 stolen
|
That was probably expensive dasanii. I recall taking a report of a stolen Nissan (mini truck) tailgate in the mid 90s and it was $900. I too would be looking everywhere.
