In AZ they close that department @ 9 I think. No restricted ammo sales after 9 - (shotgun still available all hours)

Must be a Phoenix thing. I bought a couple of weeks ago at 10:20 pm with no problems in Tucson.

If any of you guys ever have firearm/ammo related problems at Walmart, call the district manager (his/her contact info is always posted at the customer service counter). If he/she doesn't resolve it, call walmart's corporate headquarters.

There have been a few people on this forum who were asked to leave walmart because they were open-carrying in an open-carry state. They called the corporate hq to complain and hq told them it was ok to carry as long as it was legal by state law.

Corporate HQ has also resolved some problems with ammo purchases.

Most of the problems that people have with walmart in regard to firearms/ammo are the fault of the local management, who might be anti-gun, lazy...etc...so they operate in violation of walmart company policy.

I guess they should never sell alcohol either. Someone could get drunk and run an innocent person over.

I can buy any ammo you can name at my walmart except for black powder or pyrodex................... I have never been able to get an explination for this one. We just got a gander mountin so I don't think walmart is going to be seeing me as often.

Here in Montgomery, all there ammo is out on the shelf. It's a help yourself type of deal. I guess that I'm lucky.

Well, here in Rio Grande Valley Walmarts that I go to, they have a sign that says they do not sell ammo and firearms after 10:00pm.
