TLR-1 owners.. Question..

Being in the dark while shinning your TLR-1 on the wall about a foot away, do you see any rings around the outer hot spot? or is it one solid white circle?

I just bought a TLR-1 and noticed this, I've had TLR's before and don't recollect them having this.. Maybe im wrong though.

It would indicate its a POS!! Just kidding, It's just that swear that the last two I've had didn't have any donut holes but a pure solid hot spot. It would tell me that not all streamlights have the exact same hot spots. Its nothing worry some at all, I just got my light in the mail, tested it and noticed this. I guess you can call it boredom but still would like to know if others have donut holes.

This question cant be any worse then the tissue question Can it? By golly, I think it can..

Interesting enough to get me off my duff to
go and check for an answer.

Shining against a white wall, about one foot
away, there is a very bright hot spot and then
there are very faint concentric rings. This occurs
on both of mine.

I wish I could afford one. In my research into handgun lights the TLR-1 seems to be the best value.

my tlr2 and surefire kroma both have that, i think its just the bright led reflecting back off the lens and it can be seen on short distances.

Wow that's not bad. I'm in a bit of a tight spot right now but maybe in a couple months or three.

I bought my TLR-1 off of eBay last week for about $82.00 It's a good deal on a solid tac light. Other than fighting to get the battery cap back on I haven't had the opportunity to play with it. I took my XD to the local shop to have some new TFOs installed the same day that the TLR-1 arrived. I'll look at it a bit more when I get the gun back. I can say that the TLR-1 looks very cool on the XD 45 tactical. The light goes right out to the end of the barrel and looks perfectly matched to the gun.
