I expected a high resolution image but the outer 65 MOA ring looks like a rat's nest ring of barbed wire and the center dot looks like 3 fuzzy grapes stuck together!!!
What's the deal? Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Please help........

The ring on mine is a little fuzzy if I focus on it. The dot is sharp and clear.

From what I've read its completely normal. Some people that have astigmatism can't use the EoTech at all.

I can tell a difference when wearing my contacts vs my glasses. With my contacts the reticle looks pretty good, with my glasses its a little more fuzzy. My contacts prescription is more current them my glasses prescription. I should go in and update my glasses prescription.

Having used both the Aimpoint CompML2 and the EoTech on my AR I can say I prefer the EoTech. However, both are very good optics. My preference for the EoTech may be unique to me but I tend to be able to shoot with both eyes open and acquire targets faster with it. The Aimpoint for me made me tend to close my non-dominant eye. I theorize that because the Aimpoint is a tube perhaps I am conditioned to look through it like it were a magnified scope. Who knows ... but for me the EoTech is great for up close to 125 yards. YMMV

Seriously? If that's true, I'm screwed.

Jeff, I'm assuming you own an EOTech? If so, I'm curious as to how the point of impact remains consistant if when everytime you move your head a tiny bit, the hologram moves too? I will be sighting mine in so the center dot sits on top of my front post(dot the i), but for people with flip down front sights, how in the H*** do they reference their original sight in point?

I own an EoTech and Aimpoint. The reticles "appear to float" as you move your head, but the point of impact remains the same.

yes I own one. It is on my SBR LMT M4

I find that the point of impact remains the same as well. The pic I took was with my EoTech turned up about 1/2 way in brightness.

The holosight is not designed to be looked at. It is designed to be looked through focusing on it will make it blurry. When you sight it in at about 50yds., it will be crisp and clear when you focus your eyes on the target.
