No. I DON'T want your gun!!!

Is this the right place to rant?

A few days ago I put the same message on three boards. Basically, it reads that I'm feeling like buying another gun so tell me what you have that you might want to get rid of. I add that I want FTF only in my particular area and that I MIGHT be talked into trading off one of my others, but not looking to really get rid of anything.

So a guy from another board, and another state immediately hits me with a state-to-state trade deal for one of my guns. I tell him I'm not interested. End, right? I wouldn't be here if it was. He then starts a high-pressure sales pitch for me to buy this gun of his that I do not want, in a manner of transaction that I do not want, and trade him a gun that I'm not interested in trading for his. He FINALLY gets the idea that I don't want his gun. So the Emails start about why I won't just sell him MY gun.

My Inbox is still haunted. Can't someone just take a polite, "No. I'm not interested?" Now he's acting like a baby and whining because I don't want to do business with him.

Just wanted to rant in a little friendlier forum. Weird.

Hahaha! They exist in every world. The car forums that I'm on have the same types. They get tired after a while...

Any4xx:

Actually, the real fun comes when somebody wants to send you a check for $15,000 for the merchandise, and wants you to send somebody else the "change"....

(Hint: This is almost always bogus.)

It is, of course, important to indicate which state you're in if you want FTF - and maybe even what city (or region). FTF for Cincy or Toledo would be a long ride for me. Pittsburgh (which is not in OH if your map's out of date ) would be more convenient.

(I didn't see your original "for sale" post, so the above paragraph is "general".)

I don't have anything for sale.... I still regret selling a few guns years ago. Except one, but that's another story.... I also have an "Air Travel" gun. One that I trust to carry, but wouldn't mind an insurance check for.

Regards,
