Okay, last Thursday I bought a nice new Kahr PM9. My CHL app is in the works, hopefully I'll get it sometime June or July. While I wait, I carry in my house to get used to it.

Twice this weekend I almost left the house without putting my gun up. And once, I forgot.

I took my dog for a walk around the neighborhood and realized in the middle of it I was still carrying. So I turned around and walked back home.

I'm not even going to house carry till I get my CHL. It needs to get here faster.

How long does the app take in TX? Man, I got mine in three days here.

30-60 days if you have nothing on your record. Longer if they have to really research.

HA HA HA the good old waiting period. Here in SD walk in, fill out paperwork, say hi to the sheriff, he signs it, walk out with it for 10 bucks!!

Anyhow keep waiting and enjoy!

I'm not sure if I could have said hi to the sheriff and walked out with mine. I never asked. The paperwork after ccw class said allow X number of weeks (can't remember). I put it in the mail on monday and had my card by saturday.

You couldn't. Different states = different laws.

Wait a minute. So what kind of dog did you get? Fill us in.

And yes, I'm very impatient. I hate waiting. I went to purchase my XD and got denied on my back ground check. It was something that wasn't me. I should have walked out with it and headed to the range, but instead I had to appeal and wait. 30 days later I got my XD.

It took 90 days to the day for me, the instructor told me it would be 90 days or more!
