Soldier Denied Service

Was at work and the Sheriff told me, that he had just recieved an email from one of the State Troopers. The email stated that a uniformed soldier was refused service at one of the stores in town. The soldier was the Flag Barer in the parade, when he went in the store the owner said that he did not serve american soldiers and ask him to leave. I advised the Sheriff that I was aware of this and that the soldier left the store and reported it to JAG and that it was under ivestigation. The last time this happened the store owner/clerk was investigated and was deported. I hope that the deported part really means that he is still locked up some where. Former Marine and I'm a bit pissed! I really don't know how he kept from jerking him over the counter and kicking his butt. I would have gladly told the owner/clerk well when you invite someone to stomp a mud hole in your AS@ don't call me.

Don't know much about whats going on with it, but if I hear anything and I can tell you folks about it I will.

Well, that store would no longer get my business and I'd make sure I let everyone in the community I possibly could, know what happened. I'd be interested in the outcome of this little incident.

Sad, but I guess they have the RIGHT to refuse service to anyone.......

Deportation may be in the best interest of the store owners safety if this gets out around town...and it should. This is dispicable.

That is just crappy. He was a lot nice than I would have been. That is the problem with the immigrants, not caring for the US.

Post the name of the store with their phone number and email address. I'd like to let them know how I feel about that.

There are a lot of ways that situation can be handled. Hopefully assault will not be one of them.

Assault is a crime. Committing a crime makes you a criminal. Don't be a criminal.

I understand frustration, I understand tough talk. Don't commit crimes to solve your emotional frustrations.

Also, he's operating a private business. He has the right to refuse service to anyone. If you think he should be punished for exercising that right, then you should go ahead and give your guns to the anti-gunners and renounce your citizenship. A real American understands that individuals have rights. That's what the soldiers we remember today died to fight for, every single one of them.

Every coin has two sides. Maybe he's Vietnamese and American soldiers burned down his village. And even if the soldiers had a good reason to burn down his village, there's not a soul on earth that's going to be happy about a foreign army coming into their country and destroying your home. I'm just using that as an example of why an immigrant may dislike American soldiers. I assure you, if your home got destroyed or you lost a family member to an invading army, you'd have considerable feeling on the subject as well.

I understand many of you are either current or former military. And even many of you who are neither support those who serve. But don't forget what country this is and what makes it great. And don't be afraid to swallow a little pride because someone has a difference of opinion.

Also, for those of you that hope this individual gets investigated and deported for exercising his right. I hope you remember that feeling when the government starts investigating some of you because you like guns. It's a bad thing when the government decides to put the microscope on someone for exercising their rights.

In my opinion, the best AND only things that should be done is to let every soldier know about that store. And their friends, and their family, and anyone who does support the U.S. military, and no longer give him business. Also contacting that individual and letting him know RESPECTFULLY that you don't support his policy and he won't get your business. But NOT harassing, because that's also a crime.

Anyone, and everyone who breaks the law to express their displeasure with this individual legally exercising his rights should be punished.
