I'm no constitutional lawyer, but I can find the part that says the federal government is supposed to provide for a strong national defence.

I looked and can't find the part that says the government is supposed to pay my doctor bills?

The government doesn't pay silly .....the rich bastages are supposed to do that. The governments roll is simply to dilute the buying power of our money.

Hopefully he doesn't, because it is against the law to refuse emergency medical attention to someone based on their ability to pay.

Is there a problem with refusing non-emergency services to someone because they can't pay?

People should be lucky that there is a congressional act that doesn't allow hospitals to refuse emergency services if you can't pay. I am sure that all countries aren't like this.

Not at all however it should be payed on a curve or something, or a billing system. I do know that medical treatment is EXTREMELY expesive if you have to pay for it without insurance. If I didn't get full medical coverage for myself and my family (military) I would be screwed. I bring in MAYBE 25-26,000 dollars a year and that is with BAH, BAS, ect. If I lived on base I would bring in less than 15-16k a year.

I make less money than that and I have affordable health care.

I agree--we would be screwed without health care.

However, anyone who supports a government-run, free-healthcare system has not lived in a country that has one--they suck. Taxes go up, the quality of care goes down because the government is running it, income gets redistributed beyond belief and socialism ensues.

The free-market is the best place to sort this one out. If we let the free-market do its thing, there will be more jobs and many of those jobs will have health care benefits. Less jobs = less jobs with healthcare benefits and higher taxes to pay for the healthcare of the increased number of people who don't have jobs.
