Someone stole the damn stereo out of my car again!!!!! This time, they took a screw driver and hammer to the door lock. piss me off. If they would have broken my new window, I would really be pissed right now.

time for an alarm, or the very least get a removable faceplate and either take it with you or hide it in the car.

I had a face plate and it was in the glove box. They took that too.

when you get your new one, before having it installed take it, along with a bag of fish hooks, to your local welder. Have him weld the fish hooks (barbs up) to the chassis of the radio, then very carefully install it. Next time they come for it, they'll be in for a nasty surprise then they reach in to rip it out.

So, you put the faceplate... in the glovebox...

Isn't that like putting the slide of your XD in the glovebox and the frame in the console?

It would not have mattered if I had the faceplate in Timbuktoo. The broke into the car seeing the stereo without the faceplate on. The damage to the door was already done.

Can they even sell a stereo without a face plate? The stereo only cost around $200 two years back. I bet I could only get maybe $40 for it on ebay now. Why bother stealing such a crap ass stereo? How much could the get for it anyway on the black market?

The fish hook idea is nice, until they light my car on fire after getting stuck by one.

Personally, I wish I could rig my car with a car bomb, VX gas, or something really cool. I'd buy some piece of **** car (Ok, so, I'm not far off to some people), and if someone tampered with my MP3/CD deck, the windows for 6 blocks get blown out.

That'd be fawking AWESOME.

yeah if you go on ebay you can buy faceplates and make it work, but that would take a smart crook and they are very rare!

anyone remember autotaser? they sold it a couple of years ago basicly it was the club with a siren on one end and metal probes all over it. if the built in motion sensor activated it shot some serious volts all over it. then if the crook touched it....zap
