Another 1911 for me!
Did it again.. 1911
Am picking up another 1911... I just got a almost new Spingfield GI a few months back to go with my Colt Series '70... Now an Armscor that I can't really afford. What can I say I'm bitten! Saw it on Auction Arms for $379.99. I couldn't resest! I will run my about $429 with shipping and transfer. This one will be used for a project gun, that I plan to do all myself (except for maybe the nite sites). Well, see if I can make the thing a sweet carry gun. Either way it shuold be a good learning expierence. are nite sights difficult to do yourself? Will the Armscor lend it self to modification and parts fitting welll? I'm likey to end up only with the original frame and slide, and have evrything upgraded eventually.. all to my liking. can't wait! Now, what 1911 next???.. after my new job starts I will be looking at a Bear Custom for the end of the year. So many firearms on wish list... so little money... |
