I shot my xd 193 times yesterday... Cleaned her up real good last night.

Let my dad shoot it the last 7 rounds today.... think I should clean it again?

I don't remember the last time I've cleaned my XD well.... And I've been to the range a few times....

I don't shoot ALOT at the range, and I know what the inside of my XD looks like right now. It doesn't need it. A quick wipe down on the outside and it's good.

it wont hurt not to i wouldnt think tho i probably would just because i like to keep any gun i carry or might carry clean and ready to go

I guess it depends on how often you shoot it. Be mindful that many firearm manufacturers fire test rounds prior to shipping the firearm. I suspect they don't all clean them after firing a 2-3 rounds.

If you shoot plan to shoot again in the next month or so, I wouldn't bother. If you shoot once a year, I'd recommend cleaning it...AND I'd question your XD loyalty!

I clean my pistol wether I shoot with 1rd or 1k rds,it just became a habit,it will never hrt to have a clean firearm..That's just me though..

+1. I also clean my weapon after every use, regardless of the number of rounds shot. I also clean it if I have gone week without shooting just to make sure it never has grit anywhere and stays rust free.

I rarely do a detailed strip. just a field strip and a thorough cleaning.

I clean my XD after even a few rounds have gone thru that... I know I dont have to, but I just find it so enjoyable
