Post Count Cheaters & Whores.

There's no need for mean "smilies". It's not as if we go into a question about your xd thread and strike up a conversation about how awesome it would be if Mr. Potato head came with an XD! We do our BSing in the endless thread. That's what it's there for.

I am sure that nikon777, me and many others would like to come on this board and not have to sift through a million post that has nothing to do with the subject. I have been on many message boards where they just cut out the post count and guess what happened? The post whores went away.

I don't lose sleep over it, but when I see the post whores at work on here and many other boards I just think to myself that do these guys really have anything else better to do other then try to get thier post count up? How does one have so much time on thier hands to amass 4k+ post since December.

i really think you are missing the point, we dont "whore" by posting millions of random things in other peoples threads. we are in ONE thread, as not to create a million different ones.

we do not just post six million random things like "hehe im increasing my post count." we actually have intelligent conversations over in the ONE thread. and the majority of us DO participate in the rest of the forum, i dabbled in the political view when it was open, and i have had a couple VERY respectful religious discussions with Nikon, even when most other religious "discussions" turned into a pissing contest. ive posted plenty about guns and ammo. dont tell me im only here to generate a higher worthless number. (because the number is worthless, we use the term post whore very tongue-in-cheek.)

i would continue to post in that one thread even if it took posts away because those guys are my friends, some of the best ive had in a while.

and to top it off, Kermee visited the endless thread for a good bit yesterday, and by all indicators, he thinks it works pretty well. . .

if there are those of you who really have a problem with the "endless thread" keep it to yourself, we dont bother you all. and stop by sometime, then youll see that its completely not what you expect it to be.

Yeah, I find it amazing too that some of you guys have more then half of you post count dedicated to one thread on the whole forum. Your closing in on almost 1000 post on a thread. oklawall has 5000+ post and 4000+ of that is in one thread.

I'm very sorry that our posting has offended you... However, I think it to be quite unfair to assume that just because we spend a lot of time in 1 thread talking about any and everything, making friends and having fun, that we do not add anything of use to the forum. I for one can safely say that I have never gone into a thread and posted off topic nonsense... especially not just to increase the post count next to my name. Please don't stereotype everyone who posts to the "endless thread" as some one who adds nothing of value to the forum.

dude, you wanna take our posts away, fine, its not about the post count, even if thats the title of the thread. that may have been the intention how it started, but thats not what it is now. and you can say what you will about not contributing, by i have financially supported XDTalk, as have many others who regular that thread. and we based our decision to support this site off of the enjoyment of that thread.

Being an active member in "That Thread" (jeez, when y'all put it like that it seems like a bad thing.....) I have to TOTALLY agree with NewKid...

It is not about post whoring... it is about friendship and community.

Take it at that or leave it, but don't bash a bunch of guys who are just conversing with friends.
