Armored car robbery.

anyone see this video of the recent armored car robbery? Notice the guy shoot the ground 3-4 feet in front of him at most. My guess is inside job.

Yes, inside job. However, I wonder why the guard shot at all?

He knew there was a camera there at least this way it looked like he was TRYING to protect the cargo.

It's either an inside job or the guard is the worst shot in the world.

But that's my opinion.

It did look very suspicious but under that level of stress, who knows?
The firearms training of these guys matches their pay (min. wage) so...

More to the point, what robber would leave the ARMED GUARD still openly carrying as they drove off in some tiny, unshielded car?

Maybe they used pepper spray on him and he simply couldn't see?
This is a common technique.

I must admit, I feel under those circumstances I could have shot their car into a stop w/ my .40. I say this from the comfort of my computer chair of course.

I also noticed that he waited untill the car drove off before he drew and started to fire. This could have been becuase he was getting over the shock of being hussled around like that.

Of course if he could have drew and fired while the man was still trying toget into the car he may have been able to hit the man in the back seat easily as he tryed to get in, even assuming he is the worst shot in the world.

This is interesting because there was a string of armored car robberies back in 1986, where the two criminals did the same thing. It ended up the famous "Miami Shootout".

Interesting that the guy shooting is hitting the ground. Just one more fact that when you are under stress, your brain goes somewhere else. Doesn't matter how well you do under controlled situations (like the range), when the crap hits the fan, you probably won't do as good.
