In my opinion, that has to be the worst judge ever. He is not doing his job. His job is to be FAIR and to find the truth. That piece of work wants to sue some people over a pair of pants. Sounds to me like he is looking for a bunch of easy money cause he is too lazy to work for it. If I were the judge trying the case, I would rule that the dry cleaners give him the money it cost for the pair of pants, and the dry cleaning bill.

Effing dirtbag. That really pisses me off.

Dang... apparently that Judge is not fit to be a judge. I wouldn't want anyone that is willing to sue a dry cleaner for $67,000,000 over a pair of pants to be making decisions on what's right or what's fair or what's worthy of a court case.

It just seems like a judge of all people should be above that sense of entitlement and suing for revenge or wealth as opposed to compensation for what you ARE entitled.

BTW, my favorte pair of pants cost me $25. Perry ellis jeans. I got them on sale at Ross.

About .03 cents. They are a pair of OLD, torn, worn out, faded shorts that my wife keeps trying to throw away. They are the coolest pair of shorts (temperature wise) that I have ever worn.

Figures, the one night I'm actually able to go to sleep he does that. I love Ferguson's show. Same type of dry intellectual humor that Kilborn did w/ that scottish attitude.

I'm not saying that he doesn't have grounds for the case, but rather he should know that it's completely excessive and one would expect that the conduct of a judge is above the conduct of your typical 'sue happy' individual.

Seems like there needs to be reform of this law. Believe me I love my suits as much as the next guy and if a dry cleaner lost; destroyed; misplaced; or ruined one of my favorite suits I'd be pissed off, but I certainly wouldn't feel that I deserve to 33,000 times the actual value of the suit.

I'd probably ask for more than the suit was worth because it'd be hard to find a replacement, but that amount of money woudn't be in the millions.

The equivalent translation would be... if the case was about a $60,000 car and he was suing for the same proportion he'd be suing for $2,010,000,000. But that's also presuming it was a $2,000 pair of pants.

That's 2.01 billion dollars.

"He also wants $500,000 in emotional damages...."

Well, I think THAT ship sailed a long time ago.
