Beer can sit for a while, over a year, and still be good. You can exchange, but you cant ship USPS. UPS doesnt have anything explicit about it, but I imagine its frowned upon. Just pack it well so it wont break is usually my policy, along with dont ask, dont tell.

EDIT: Some states have explicit laws against importing, Utah and Pennsylvania come to mind, but IIRC, thats for "sales". There is little to nothing in the laws about an exchange, i.e. not for profit if memory serves me right...

its just an igloo ice cooler cube with a hole cut in the lid for the top of the carboy and airlock, i put an indoor outdoor electric thermometer in it to monitor temps accuratly. i pre chill it before i stick the carboy in there on brew day then ill add cubed ice from the freezer and frozen two liters and frozen one liters to keep the temp where i need it. ive had it down to around 40f and itll hold it if you regulary change out your 2 and 1 liters ( i do mine about every day) i plan on dropping temps down to the 30's when i lager the pils.
