I smoked my last cigarette last week. I want one now more than ever. I'll be 34 this year and I've been a pack-a-day smoker for 18+ years. I guess it was time to quit.
My doctor has me on a patch, a pill, and some nice tranquilizers. I had been on the patch and pill for at least a month before I quit.
I was tired of being enslaved to the damn things. I was just sick of spending so much money on them! So, I guess I didn't actually quit, I just stopped buying them.
My Grandfather died a horrible smoking-related death and I didn't want to share a similar fate.
I know everybody says this but "If I can do it, you can do it!"

Dude that's awesome congratulations keep it up it will get easier. I have one friend that tried and got addicted to the gum but over the course of a year finally kicked it all.

Just got a prescription for Chantix. Been told these things really work. I'm going to do my best quitting as well.

+100...more money for guns and ammo!!

Just remember how many packs it costs to buy a new gun.

I don't blame you. The new smoking ban is nuts and I'd probably have a hard time dealing with it.

I quite a little more than 2 years ago at 38. Cold turkey, not a puff and I live with 2 smokers. My wife that has been smoking since 10 and she now has over 90 days on Chantix. She's done and I'm proud. She did it for her, not me. Her mother is over 50 and has tried to quite numerous times. She has COPD and on her way to oxygen. She has nearly 60 days on Chantix. Needless to say my life has been hell for the last 3 months but it is so worth it. We are smoke free!!!

Keep going bud. It gets better. It is the best thing I've done. I didn't want to be 60 looking back at a life of regret. I feel great and don't even miss it. It gave me no pleasure, it was nothing but a habit. Today is the most important day not to smoke. Just don't smoke today. Tell yourself that every morning.

I like an occasional Cigar, but I hate Cigarettes.
They taste horrible and kill my lungs if I try to breath that stuff in...YUK
Even a stale old ash tray makes me sick.
You did the right thing by quitting...They Suck!
