Matt,

the 2nd and 3rd weeks are the toughest. When you get past that, the physical addiction is much easier, then you only have the mental addiction to deal with.

Stay strong, your body will thank you!

Congrats, Packman. If you look at how much .223 you can get for that new RRA instead of going up in smoke it's a good motivator. Hang in there, bro--your lungs and your wallet will thank you.

When my Dad would quite (he did numerous times) he would start eating lemon drops. One day at a store my Sister yelled at him to give her a cigarette. She was about 7 or 8 years old.

Hang in there.

You da man!!! I quit 1.5 years ago after 18 + years! I'm 34 now! Went cold turkey and no nicotine since. I gained quite a bit of weight afterwards but holy shiite don't let that bother you if you do. I've lost most of what I gained. Better to be a fat bastard than a smokey one. Lots of extra cash to spend on ammo, guns and strippers!!!!!!

Good luck my friend

Smokers are jokers.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I support you in your quitting. Once you stop feeling like **** from withdrawl, you'll feel a lot better. Nothing like being able to breath in a big full deep breath of outdoors air.

I congratulate all of you who have quit and those who are trying. My wife did for about a year (hypnotized). Unfortunately, she went thru a lot of stress when her mom died from her sisters and started back up.

She once told me that from what she has read, that nicotine is one of the most addicting drugs there is and that's what makes it so hard to quit. I wish she would quit; her mom died of cancer from smoking, as have a couple of her close relatives.

I give credit to all of you and I'm glad I don't have to try since I've never smoked.

Keep going bud. It gets better. It is the best thing I've done. I didn't want to be 60 looking back at a life of regret. I feel great and don't even miss it. It gave me no pleasure, it was nothing but a habit. Today is the most important day not to smoke. Just don't smoke today. Tell yourself that every morning.
Please tell me about Chantix!
