Ya, but that is why our government is the way it is. He has no chance at getting into the presidency. In his position now he can propose legislation, but there is no chance in hell it would get thorough.

Look at Bush Sr., he raised taxes. Clinton couldn't get his beloved universal health care done. Congress right now only sent their funding bill to Bush Jr. with a 5 vote win knowing they can't overturn a veto. There are a lot of crazy ideas out there. What is said, and what Washington actually accomplishes are 2 different things entirely.

Is he saying all gun owners are mental or violent? Holy crap is he off base to make the leap and think getting rid of all guns would make the USA any safer. Now that would not be a cool thing ... especially for a proud NEW gun owner like me. IT took a while for me to come to my senses that when it comes to home defense, having a GUN is ALWAYS better then NICE WORDS!!!

The bottom line on Kucinich is this:

I do not hold any public office. I have no intention of every running for a public office. That being said, my chances of ever being elected president at least as good as Kucinich's - if not better!

The man is an insignifant flea on the dog that is politics. I don't get excited or upset about anything that he says. I would rather see him keep spouting his wacky ideas as long as he professes to represent the Democrat Party while doing so.
