I feel i need an AR15.. help b4 i do sumthing dumb
I've always loved AR's but never had one, thats how it was with my 1911 and its great. So say if i wanted an AR in .223 Whats the best deal i could get off with? dont need a colt b/c it will be a gun that gets its use. I have a couple coyotes in mind
Tell me how i can get off with one of these as cheap as possible (and i know its not that cheap) Thanks BTW- I need to control my addiction to guns. Is it bad when i buy a gun over things i need ? lol

Yeah, definately prioritize.
If you need to pay your rent and you feel that you need an AR; pick the rent. You can do really well with a gun that you already have for coyote control. Do you have any other long guns? A .270 or .30-06 isn't overkill for coyotes... as long as your current law doesn't prohibit.

I have been looking at getting an AR for quite some time now and I have looked at almost every possibility. I think the cheapest is to build one but since you dont want to build one you can order a complete upper and a complete lower, and just connect the two and be ready to go.

I'd really like to learn how to build one, but i dont know anyone that would show me, im a shotgun and hunting rifle man. And i was just kiddin about the prioritizing of guns over everyday life. Im 22 and i still live at home so i have no rent, or any other kind of payment that i have to pay. I guess i might as well do what i like now b4 i get out in the real world all by my lonesome. But i want an ar so bad i can taste it. just dont like the price tags. what do u think the cheapest i could get away with? like to stay around or under 600 but i dont know if it is possible

Its hard to go wrong with a RockRiver AR and if you keep an eye out, you can get some decent prices.

You could hook up with someone in the hometown forum to show you the ropes. I've never built an AR from scratch, but from a kit it's simple. If you can dissasemble a shotgun and put it back together you can easily put an AR15 together from a kit. Or if you don't mind telling us your state someone in this forum could step up and show you some stuff.
