I thought both of those Bourne movies were very well done.
In a world of crappy, predictable, polished and stupid actions flicks, those movies were pretty good adaptations of Ludlum's books to film. The second film was grittier and I liked the fact that the director useda handheld camera for most of the shots, giving it a more realistic feel to the scenes and it added an element of uneasiness to the film that was inline with the character Bourne is supposed to be. Good stuff. Especially when you compare how the last Tom Clancy book was re-hashed into a movie, with Ben Afleck chasing neo-nazi terrorists that blow up Baltimore....ugh! Clancy's books could be made into mamzingly good movies, but it has yet to be done. Give the the Bourne movies anyday. -Brickboy240

The Bond films were fun, but you have to admit, that some of the worst gunplay is to be found in the Bond films.

Speaking of surpressors, have you guys tried the homemade 2 liter plastic Coke bottle trick? I made one for my 10/22 and effectively took out an Armadillo that was tearing up our lawn in the middle of the night. All you could hear was the sound of the action...sounded like a hammer hitting a nail. I also used a 22 short handloaded into the chamber so that also decreased the noise.

I use Remington CB22 22 longs in my Winchester Model 62 pump and it is no louder than an air rifle and takes out the average raccoon, skunk and stray housecat with the power of a 22lr.
Makes for a great "midnight sniper" stealth varmint-getter. -Brickboy240

It's pretty quiet on the first shot, if the following shots go through the same hole its actually only a little louder. The problem I was having was my rigged mount was duct-taped on so when the bottle shifted it blew more/bigger holes in the end. I'm sure somebody could do it better, using glasspack insulation etc, but I didn't have time to mess with it. Just wanted the Armadillo taked out....quietly.
Another problem was that the damn bottle was so big I couldn't use the sights! Had to point shoot. |
