Yeah. "It's clearly a bolt action rifle." What?

I think they were talking about in the second one, the rifle Bourne used from the roof tops when he was on the phone.

I saw a show on the History Channel about the development of suppressors (one of those History of the Gun episodes) and they said that modern supressors are designed to slip over the barrel as shown in the photos. The gas is redirected backwards into the supressor as the bullet passes through the short portion of the supressor that actually extends past the end of the barrel.

Yeah, I was talking about the auto rifle used in the first movie. The one that Bourne's alternate uses to terminate the african dictator and later uses against Bourne at the farmhouse.

The second movie sucked. The rifle Bourne used on the rooftop looked like a WA-2000 for what I remember of that movie.

I just got to thinkin' something about that rifle doesn't seem right in the movie. We agree its a Sig SG-550. The descriptions I've read here, and at the website Krackels points out says it's semi-auto. Yet at the point when Bourne runs from behind the gas fire into the woods, the sniper shoots at him with an automatic burst, or at least the sound fx used is an auto burst. Any thoughts?

Your thinking to hard. It's a movie not a documentary on firearms. Some sound effect geek that has never even seen a real gun put that noise there.

I have never been accused of thinkin' to hard. Or was that hard enough.
