Turbotax discount XXXX Turbotax servers went down! Refile!!!

Warning:
Turbtax's system went down yesterday! Luckily I checked the filing today and to my shock it said I hadn't filed yet. Luckily the IRS was kind (HAH!) enough to give everyone an extra day to resubmit because of widespread e-filing problems. So anyone who files yesterday be sure to double check and make sure your filing status is at the very least pending.

So if you are all madly rushing around trying to get your taxes done like I am I got a little treat for you.

got to fidelity.com and click on tax center. Follow the links to the turbotax promo. If you already have an account just sign in. Otherwise create one real fast. You can opt out of the junk mail.

Its 35% off turbotax fees. Which if your doing a small business filing is enough to buy you and your wife a decent dinner out!

It works even if you have already started you taxes with them. I'd sign out first. Then click "continue 2006 return" on the upper left to sign back in.

Well well, yet another reason for me not to use intuit products. As if I needed one...

I became painfully aware of how terrible our tax system is. When it was nothing but 1040EZ it doesn't show. When you own a home and run a business it becomes painfully obvious. I spent a good 9 hours one the paper version of the tax forms and came up with a nasty bill do (over $2K). I finally gave up and let someone else figure it out for me. In the end I only owed $140. I printed out my return and its 20 pages! My taxes we fairly simple I'm sure compared to most businesses.
