Gun rentals are easy at firing ranges

This is a discussion on Gun rentals are easy at firing ranges within the XDTalk Chatter Box forums, part of the XD Talk category; I noticed there is now a scrolling marquis across the top that says you have to have a permit to rent a gun there....

It happens. It's happened at least 2 times at the range I shoot at. Suicide is a selfish act, but doing it in public is the ultimate narcissism.

That story is intentionally misleading, as it leaves the uneducated masses thinking you can rent a gun and take it out to kill your x-girlfriend.

"There is no federal regulation of ranges." This line scares the hell out of me. So many people in this country think the federal government should control every aspect of our lives. When did we go from being a nation where people were willing to die for freedom to a nation where people are clamoring to give it away in exchange for false security? We have become a nation of cowards. Personal Safety Uber Alis!

She appears to work there. You can see her doing range officer duty in a few of the photos.

You read it wrong. It says "as always, no permit is required to rent and shoot 100s of different firearms..."

I'd like to congratulate the genius who assumes that people with licenses are somehow immune to suicidal tendencies.

About two years ago I read about an 18 year old girl on the biathlon team (cross-country skiing combined with rifle shooting). She and one of her rifles went missing. They eventually found her body in her car parked in the middle of nowhere. She had shot herself. Anyone as determined as that is going to go through with it regardless of whether they have a gun or not.
