Need some advice... on guns of course!

Ok, This has been rattling in my brain for some time now.. I know that you all are good at helping people make these kinds of decisions so here it goes:

I have a S&W snubby 442 airweight... I want a Kel Tec .380. The reason I want the KelTec is for summer pocket carry when strapping on my XD is maybe a bit to hard to conceal. I dont use the 442 much at all anymore, so I was thinking about selling the 442 to buy the Kel Tec... I dont know if that is a good move though... It just seems like a S&W wheelgun is just a staple of any good collection.... but I would like to have somthing that I can actually get some use out of... I dont really like carrying the 442, just because of the round load (only 5 shots)... I had a .32 tomcat, and I loved it... it was just too unreliable of a gun to carry.... and BTW- keeping the revolver and buying a Kel Tec is not an option... short on the $$! its driving me nuts!! AHHH! HELP!

I used to be part of the never sell guns crowd, but I just don't have the room any more. I've finally gotten to where if I don't use it, I don't mind selling it. And my wife loves her KelTec 380. I'm sure the majority of opinions will be that the S&W is the ultimate summer carry gun.

A gun that sits in the safe is useless. Sell the revolver and buy something you'll use.

Oh, Man that means that you'll have to change your Signiture!

Just remember that you will be getting a caliber that has a little less power than the.38.
If that does not bother you, go for it.

Yes, I would be going down in caliber, but I would be carrying "somthing" more often then... Wouldnt carrying somthing more often be a good trade off for going down a caliber?? I mean, If I were carrying the .38sp all the time, it wouldnt make sense, but I need somthing smaller for when I cant carry anthing bigger...

No, I agree...Go for it then.
It's all about shot placement anyway.
For me personally, I would go to a 9mm, like maybe a Kahr PM9
or something like that.

I concur with the general opinion. Better to give up a gun you don't use for one that you will unless it has some sentimental value.
