Don Hume Holster
Does anybody have the Don Hume open top holster http://pistolgear.com/proddetail.php?prod=32DHC&cat=7
and if you do what is your opinion of it? I'm looking for a comfortable holster for a decent price, any help would be appreciated.

![]() XD45 Service in the LH version I have one of these. Like the ad says it rides high and close. I like the FBI style cant. I find it very comfortable! It was so tight when I first got it that I had to use four sheets of waxed paper wrapped around the XD and keep it inserted in the holster for several days to loosen it up. It is still very tight so retention is if anything too much; but if I needed it I am sure I wouldn't notice that. I think it would be hard to beat this holster for the price! And PG always give great service!

Ive got one and its not a bad holster, not a "super duper" one either but definately serviceable.

I concur about mine being very tight, got one about a week ago and am going to have to find a way to loosten it up also. It also rides high and tight for me, its very comfortable despite. The only time it bothers me a little is when i am driving on long trips. While driving ill usually slide it to about 10 o clock, then its fine, but most times i like to keep it about 8.

Put the gun in the bag that the holster came in and push it down into the holster every night for the first week.

Also, on that note what is a good magazine pouch? I've been using the dual mag pouch that I get with my XD and it sucks.

Yeah I was on pistolgear.com and they have a bunch of mag pouches but only a couple can be used for the XD45, I wonder when those will be coming out

Hume makes matching mag pouches to go with this holster. Good quality at a great price.
