I've had those floaters for around 35 years. The doc told me not to worry so I don't and I don't usually notice them.
THANKS for bringing them to my attention. Nick

I've Got them too!
I have had floaters for the last five years or so. It was really bothering me when I shoot Iron sights. I talked to my Eye Doc and he said not to worry about them. He said the only way to get rid of them at the time was to drain the fluid out of the eye and refill with a special saline type fluid. He did not recommend this unless the Floaters really disrupted your life. I have read lately that there are some doctors using a laser to break the floaters up. I have been trying to find someone close, but no luck.

I've had floaters ever since high school. I remember when I first noticed them (in 1988 ). I was like "WTF is wrong w/ me? am I going blind??" ... I was sitting in study hall, turned in my chair, looking out the window (huge window wall - lots of light). Every time I would shift my eyes and look somewhere else, I'd see these slow moving "cobwebs" float over and re-align w/ my eye. It freaked me out!!!!
The only way to describe what mine look like is this: did you ever see a small puddle of oil in a parking lot, and it had some water on top of it? You know that pattern the water makes on the oil? THAT'S what I see inside my eyes! After telling my Mom (an L.P.N.), and then an eye doctor visit, it was determined that I had floaters. I was also told that they were "normal" in people who had my vision problem. They won't get better or go away. They might stay the same. Or, of course, they could get worse. And the brighter the area, the "better" I can see the floaters. I like to keep my office dark when I'm working, because the computer screen is enough of a light source. I don't want more light added to it. My boss calls me a vampire. LOL. And just sitting here reading what I've typed, I can see them floating along, following my eyes as I read. It's like they're always trying to catch up to my eyes. Too bad I can't just stare straight ahead all the time. So, don't fret too much. You're not alone in this "floater" thing at all. It's annoying. It's wierd. But at least it's not life-threatening.
