Went to the Tulsa show this weekend

All I can say is if you haven't been there, you don't know what you're missing. Spend 9 hours on Friday and 7 hours on Saturday walking all over 14 acres of guns. Came back with a Baby Browning in great shape. Anyone else make it down there this weekend? it's supposed to be the biggest gun show on earth. This is my 2nd trip down and I had a BLAST!

I usually pick up ammo at the gun shows now days. Hard to find those really good deals and a lot of junk dealers.

That's the complete and utter beauty of the Tulsa show. 14 acres of guns, 4000 tables, 40,000+ guns. Less mil-surp stuff than the average 20-table show. This is a serious, out of the woodwork, collector/dealer/antiques/etc show. I saw a Winchester 1887 for $25,000. There were German drillings, rare shotguns, etc. Our group came home with several double-barrels they paid over $2500/each for.

I came home with a Baby Browning. Oh well, one day I'll be able to play with the big boys. I still had an awesome weekend.

Oh, and there were deals galore. A buddy bought a '70s S&W 36 that was so new the cylinder wasn't marked for $300.

Amen to that remark. Just went to the local show (which doesn't compare in size to the one in OK) and I saw high prices. Some handguns were $100.00 over gunstore prices and ammo $3.00 higher per 50. Oh I'm sure deals can be found, but for those novice firearm owners, it can be a rip off. I've shopped all the local gunstores and know the best place to shop and/or deal.
