Actually I was thinking because we were leaving out and some cars were going down the street. A little background about my house and street. Its a dead end with parking only on one side. We recently fixed the driveway so I can park both my cars in there but sometimes my neighbor will have company and will park right in front of my house where I normally park a car. This bugs me especially if they park in such a manner that I cannot park behind them (blocking the driveway).

Anyway I was thinking about how mad I'd be if someone was waiting for me to pull out of my driveway just so they can park in it, figuring I'd be gone for a bit.

I live in a fraternity house. We have a problem with people parking in our fire lane when neighboring fraternities have parties. We have a simple solution though. We get a couple of guys and turn the car sideways. We've done this a few times and have yet to have a repeat offender.

I think if it's your property, you should politely discuss the matter with your neighbor or the person who parked their car there. Tell them you don't want to be a crabby neighbor, but it IS your driveway, for YOUR vehicles.. if they continue to do it I'd contact the police about it, or have it towed.
