Back from the D. R.

So after a week down by the equator setting up dishes and fixing the work the nationals had already done i am back in town. The troops down there all carried either Mossberg 500s or Remington 870s, both in "cruiser" configurations. Also saw a bunch of m16s, and a Romanian AK here and there. Besides some setbacks with the equipment we were using, (our BUC failed), I found myself discussing gun control with some Canadians. Talk about fools, these guys not only knew better than me, but the knew that they knew better. They seemed to think it was an atrocity that i said i would teach my child to use a gun as early as the age of 7 or 8, if the child so desired. Not only were these guys fools, but they were cocky about it. By the end of the conversation i was wishing these guys wind up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and they remember the American the met, who knew he would never be a victim.
