I don't actually live in KY but we still own the remainder of a farm in Rowan County that is part of what was granted to my great-great-great-great Grandfather in lieu of a pension for his service in the Revolutionary War and I spent every summer there growing up. I think that should mostly count

Thanks ... It's nice to be counted : P
Lots of rich history in KY for that side of the family. Heck, they had time to be part of history as they were in VA as land owners and having children by 1623. We were 7-8th generation American by the time of the Revolutionary War (mom sent me all the info but I promptly lost it during an ongoing remodeling project but I'll find it again eventually). Obviously we haven't been in KY that long (except for a great great great Grandfather who was native American -- they were in KY and VA for a long time before the rest of the family : P ) Mom already made me promise to never sell the remainder of the farm unless I absolutely have to for financial reasons. I have 5 generations of family buried in a little family cemetary at the top of the holler where the last of the farm sits (used to be part of the 3,000 acre land grant), including my younger brother who died a few years ago. He's buried next to my great great uncle who was wounded in the Civil War fighting with the KY mounted infantry in the grey uniform. Other family fought for the other side. I could go on for pages about stuff like that. I may not live in KY, but part of KY is with me everywhere I am. *In case anyone missed it, I have a great affection for KY*
