I was looking into buy a 10/22 a little while ago. I was going to get one at Wallyworld, but found they were cheaper at Dick's. Wallyworld was still cheaper than everywhere else I looked, but I never checked any of my usual mom and pop shops that usually have the best prices. In any case, shop around a bit, but you best bet probably will be Wallyworld.

I recomend getting a new bolt buffer and the clark custom trigger group. Also an extended mag release.

cant believe nobody posted this yet, anyways for any and all ruger 10/22 (or and rimfire questions) head over to www.rimfirecentral.com
the guys are great over there, and there is a ton of information. I started with a basic 10/22 stainless, added a .920 fluted barrel, Hogue stock, had the trigger redone, safety switched [I shoot lefty], magazine release extension added and some other things that I forgot. Just did them a piece at a time. Rimfire central is the place for 10/22 info. Most of my parts came from Midway.
