It just goes to show how things have gotten way far left or way far right somewhat.
There's nothing wrong with having different views on some things on both sides...but instead of bein able to have equal differenting opinons...it's gotten to where "my way is correct...your way is nuts"
That Senator that packs is just like many other people from states that allow it....they really do go shootin, huntin, etc...just like we have on farms etc. The core values are similar but still different....core values meaning American values.
Now it seems like they have way off views just to be able to point fingers back and forth like school kids.

Core Values:

Freedom
Right = Freedom To... (own guns)
Left = Freedom From... (guns)

Safty
Right = Safe from Crime (by having Guns)
Left = Safe from Crime (by removing guns)

Money
Right = Low Tax, every man for himself! I'll give if I feel like it....
Left = Higher Tax, help your lazy neighbor! I'll take what I have left...

the gun vote is where I stray from "my party" (if you can call them that). Personally, I believe if you arm and train every man, woman and child and you'll see crime fall to an all time low...

I'm a dem because I don't mind giving $0.25 away for aver $1.00 I make even know I KNOW only $0.05 is going to someoen who actually NEEDS it.. I deal with that fact by knowing that AT LEAST $0.05 is in fact helping someone in need, even though the other $0.20 is going to someone who is lazy and/or doesn't deserve it...

That's my view on the two MAIN differences between the two parties. In my opinioun, democrats are happy that $0.05 is going to someone who needs and republicans are PISSED because $0.25 is taken from their check...

Just my view. I evade "The Politcal View" forum because I find myself outnumbered here, so I probably shouldn't have even opened my trap.

edit: damn beer, ignore the typo's, easier to blame than to correct them...

i think its fair to say that Republicans dont represent true conservatives (like myself) anymore, and Democrats dont represent true liberals. on both sides its just about different forms of control.

No worries...just don't start posting someone else's view as your own, call it fact, and then not be able to back it up......that is when people around here tend to get out of shape....

+1 to avoiding the political forum - sometimes it is just comical the arguments that take place in there......
