I have two CDs full of photos that I burned and stuck on copy of the CD in my gunsafe, one in the safe deposit box at the bank and my insurance agent (friend of the family I trust) has a copy in our file in his office.
I have photos of all guns, stereo equipment, some antiques, some jewelry, the cars (inside and out), coins we inherited, stock certificates and an Excel spreadsheet of all guns w/descriptions and serial numbers. Yes, this is a very good idea. Another thing I do, when I buy longguns is to remove the buttplate/recoil pad and take my engraving pen and engrave the last 4 digits of my drivers license on the wood and put the plate back on. Just another precaution...you never know! - Brickboy240
