Dont like the XD Gear Holster

I was shooting my new XD today.. i really dont like the holster that it comes with... yea its a really good package, but for me it doesnt work good. I went and dug my Leg holster out of my closet that ive had for 5 years. For one my belt is too small and it like to pivot on it.

Ill be lookin for a Fobus Paddle holster..
Do they make one that sits a couple inches lower than your waist?

the XD gear holster is JUNK!!! the only good thing that comes with the XD gear package is the bore brush.... maybe the speed loader if you are a sisssy i used mine once when i first got it. i put the holster on my hip stuffed the gun in it and thought man this is not comfortable and its gaudy, not user friendly and just an all around useless piece of gear. well it sticks our about 5 inches from your side so CC is out the window with it. it scratches the finish of your XD just a useless piece of junk to me. i think SA made it for the Gear whores out there...

Yeah the extras dont really do anything for me.. the mag loader is almost cool .. but ther are better designs

I would have bought the pistol I did without the "XD gear" anyway.. infact I did not know it even came with it when I decided to purchase my 4" .40

yeah, the holster sucks, i like easy on/off holsters myself.
the only use for the mag loader is for the first few times to the range with your high cap mags, to get the last couple rounds in the mag, after that it stays in the range bag

would be nice if they would have knocked $50 to $80 off the price of my gun w/o that stuff in it hehe.

cheers

I think the damn bore brush that came with mine was made for the freakin' .45. Its huge and dosen't even fit into the chamber.

What holsters do you guys use? Since i dont like the XD Gear holster... I do like the Mag holder... with the 10rd mags the Loader doesnt help much, but with the 12rd mags... its a blessing.

I dont like the holster or the loader. I use the holster as a "range holster", and I do like the mag holder for at the range also. It all works, just not very well. I know I'll have the tub of holsters in my closet pretty soon.

I have a crossbreed supertuck in the mail (bought it from someone here on XDtalk), and I really like the look of some of the stuff KD Holsters makes. My husband needs a new concealment holster for his Beretta 92f, I think maybe I'll get him a KD, and if I like his, maybe I'll be getting one for my .45.
