My fullblooded Irish grandfather always would get a little tipsy around the holidays, and my grandmother would start yelling at him for getting drunk in front of us grandkids. One year when I was about 9 or so she was yelling at him for drinking, and my grandfather looked at me real serious and said "she's always talking about me drinking, but never my thirst".
I'll always miss him, he passed away in '97.
