I got a razr with t-mobile when they first came out. It was an ok phone, but the features were lacking. It seemed fairly durable, and work fine. I use a Samsung T-809 now, and the Samsung is way better, many more features, better OS. MY only complaint is less batery life, I only get two days. Even thats no biggie as I charge it every day.

My advice, the Razr os an ok phone, but it is way over rated. As for size my samsung is the same, or slightly smaller when closed.

BTW free wallpapers at zedge.net Just download em and use a data cable to put em on your phone.

I agree. I have a razr that I never use. I had 3 or 4 Nokia phones in a row, loved them all. I can't hear a damn thing on the razr, and I have great hearing. I carry a Treo now.

Remember the RAZR is in like its 7th or 8th generation. The first ones were horrible, but the new ones are good phones.

I know many that have thme now, and they are better, but I dont think they are worth all the hype. Like I said, I love my T-809... I have 75 meg internal memor, a 512 microSD card, and one of the best screen on the market. I have hundreds of backgrounds...The background and ringer possibilities are limitless because I can upload my own to it. It has a 1.3 megapixal camera that does a great job in a pinch.

Now is any of that nessisary...NO. But I like to download videos from the internet and be able to replay them for friends. I like tha ability to cut my own ringtones for free, and make/ dowload my own backgrounds for free.

If I didnt do those things then I would cinsider a newwer razr (I atualy think it has many of the features I just menitned).

Also wht the hell dont they make a more durable phone...A warterproof one..

I've got a razr now with Cingular/AT&T. Probably the best phone I've owned and have had Nokia's, Samsungs, other Motorola's, and probably a few I don't remember. They are senstive to drops if you're prone to dropping your phone.

There is at least one that I know of... the GzOne from UTStarcom

UTStarcom, which makes the phone, wasn't really targeting customers like me when it designed the GzOne. It's really going after "extreme" cell phone users. You know the type--outdoorsy people who like to hike Mount Everest, cross-country ski the Arctic Circle and scuba dive off the Great Barrier Reef. This military standards-compliant phone is built to withstand harsh environmental conditions including exposure to temperatures in excess of 140 degrees F, extreme vibration, solar radiation, torrential rainfall, high winds and submersion in one meter of water.

well, for those of you that are on the east coast and have heard of SunCom Communications.... They are just mainly, NC, SC, VA & GA...

I think im going to go with them. Get 2 RAZRS (maybe just 1) for $49.99 each cus they are on sale. The package is $29.99 for 500 minutes and on my phone Im going to pay an extra $10 for the 10 ppl that I can call or get calls from for free so that I wont even use any of the 500 minutes and give my mom the other phone. So after adding the 2nd line and the 10 people Ill have everything I have on my $80 a month plan now for only $40.
:]

I've always though the RAZR's looked cool but my sister recently got one about a month or 2 ago and Ive talked on it and like it a lot and she's had no problems so I though why not go get one too? :]

I have a razr, and I like it. Wayyy better than the crappy Siemen phone I had before. About once every three or four weeks, I do have to reboot it (screen goes blank).

I bought my husband a Sony Ericcson W600i for Christmas (ebay), and we both love it. It has airplane mode, "advanced gaming controls" (I don't know what all that actually entails), plays fm radio and mp3s, has a pretty good speaker built in for playing mp3s, camera, video, and so on. And it comes with all the software/cables you need to hook it up to your computer (a lot of phones, you end up paying another $50+ to get all of that). Very, very cool phone.

We have a Cingular family plan with 3 lines and 700 minutes (just bumped it down from 1400). I don't have any complaints about the service. But we will probably switch to Verizon when the contract is up because that's what all our family members have, it will save us minutes.
