I'm guessing the rifle was automatic loading, but not firing. What us gun nuts call semi-auto.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

Yup, the problem was that the jerk was poaching, and that instead of manning up, he murdered an LEO. He has a good chance of one day getting the needle in Huntsville, TX. Live like a mangy dog, die like a mangy dog.

What weapon he used to commit his crimes is only usefull to connect him to the crimes in a trial.
What type of weapon is totally bogus.

The man was a genius, and people ignored him at their peril.

Police said a warrant would be served to James Freeman, 26, Saturday. He is currently under guard at Oak Bend hospital in Rosenberg, where he is being treated for gunshot wounds, said police.
At least the good guys managed to put a few holes in the bad guy and prevent him from fleeing the scene. Very sad story nonetheless.

Sad story. Another good guy taken by some wimp too selfish to own up to his mistakes. Another bad apple to spoil it for the rest of us in the "bunch"
I feel for game wardens sometimes..."conservation officers" as we call em here. They get called out to deal with people out drunk in the middle of the night shootin game from their cars, havin to patrol in the middle of nowhere with the only backup is their radio and whatever weapon they carry. Our guys always have to assist with pot growing and are the ones that get to see gross scenes of drownings. I'm not sure why, but whenever someone drowns in a lake or somethin, they're the ones to handle it.
I've got respect for those dudes....our guys have to go through years of schooling for every type of plant,animal,rock,fossil,...and the seasons for each of em etc.....THEN through the state police academy(sp)..and learn the rest of regular statutes.
It pisses me off when I still hear the term "possum cops" when they do much more than just game laws.

Come on guys. You're missing the bigger picture. If hunting was outlawed, we wouldn't have these problems

.223 rounds off to .22 not .23, obviously they flunked math.

The important thing is not accuracy in reporting but that all the reporterettes at kprc have huge racks, courtesy of Houston's outstanding medical center.
