i have a Q and I love it. i'll say a few things about it:

1) Huge screen = battery hog. with light-moderate usage and the EXTENDED battery, i HAVE to charge it every night. don't even think about getting it without getting extended battery.

2) verizon sucks in that they don't allow you to use the phone as a cellular modem for other devices. HUGE pain in the ass.

other than that, i love it. i've had mine a few months and still need to get some plug ins to take better advantage of the phone but it's pretty sweet. doesn't have the computing power/bells and whistles of the Treo 700w but that's not what i needed it for. i'd had a PDA for awhile that I just never used to its full potential so the Q seemed like a good deal for free.

1. You do have to charge it every night, but not a big deal to me. Just plug it into the car charger when i'm driving, and the sync cable when at the office and never have a batter problem.

2. Not true, there is a way to do this, if you PM me I can let you know how to tether it to use it as a modem for a laptop and it does work great.

PM me and I'll let you in on a few sites that have some info that you HAVE to see.

I am in the wireless biz and have used both the Treo 700W and the Moto Q. I really like both devices but the Q is more for reading emails while the Treo will do just about everything that Outlook will do. The Q battery life is about the only issue that i had with it. One advantage to the Q is that is is smaller and usually will be a $100-200 cheaper.

Going with sprint, and yes they let you tether. (use phone as modem)
