Hey guys. Just wanted to post a quick reminder to everyone that is annoyed with pre approved credit card offers that they recieve in the mail.

I have just started getting them at my new address after I "opt-outed" at my old location and finally took care of them today. These offers are useless and seem to show up nearly everyweek. If you want to cut down on your junk mail and reduce your chances of ID theft, just visit this website, fill out the online form and print the signature sheet to verify and mail it away. You will then be taken off the list for life. Keep in mind that your local bank may still send you such offers, but speak with them and they will stop.

I just blow my nose in a tissue and mail it back to them in the pre-paid envelope, then throw the rest of it away.

I've got a similar ploy. I take pocket lint, cat hair, fingernail clippings, dried leaves, grass clippings and just about anything else light I can find and send it to them.

I hate them and the stupid checks send out a couple of times a month from my card. I fear someone getting them out of my box and cashing them. I would not know until the next statement arrived.

Registering with that website really does make a difference. I did so a few years ago and it substantially reduced my junk mail.

I've asked my credit card a million times to quit sending those checks to me. Hasn't worked. I shred them as soon as I get them, and check my statement online at least once a week.

What's the fun in that? Let's band together and send them some used kitty litter and anything else we can find to make them stop naturally!
