Police Advice

Hi,

I am 25 years old and I live in Howard County, Md. I've given it a lot of thought and I've decided that on March 24th I'm going to take the PT and written tests to try and be recruited to the Police Academy and become a Howard County Police Officer.

I am intelligent and in excellent shape and am confident about my ability to pass whatever qualifications are required. I have no debt, at least 60 hours of college credit, a spotless criminal record and no points on my drivers license.

The reason for this post is that it seems there are a good number of law enforcement members in these forums and I was wondering if they had any advice on how to get through this process smoothly. Let me say that I have the utmost respect for our military, our police and our other civil servants. I am so sure that this is the work that I want to do and I am anxious for the oppurtunity to serve the community that I call home despite having been raised all up and down the east coast.
