MySpace is a fantastic tool for LE....use it quite often, especially when doing new LEO candidate background investigations......have dumped many guys and gals wanting to be police officers, just because of their myspace accounts....

As an aspiring LEO I have nothing to hide on Myspace, but I keep my profile private for a somewhat similar reason, i.e. to make sure my civilian employer isn't keen to my passion for firearms.

Its so funny because I really never use the site. BUT, I have located TONS on old friends from high school on there and its really nice to be able to keep in contact with people over the years. I dont care for it all that much just because I get bored with it at times but if I didnt have one there would be wuite a few friends that would still remain lost to me. Just my $.02

its usually the pictures that get most people jammed up....but when your applying for a LE career, you sign a waiver to release information, so private or not, your stuff can be located......nothing is a secret if a good background investigation is done

I'm more then happy to provide a password, as long as the BI doesn't try to score on some of my female friends.
