XD-Pilots?
Not really a poll, but who is an aviator here? What do you fly or own,ratings,t.t.,are you carrying while flying etc.Let's make this interesting! I'll go first: multi-eng,ifr,commercial.Have owned Cherokee 180.Last gig was flying brand new M7-235 Maule taildragger (what a blast) Have 1800 t.t.Best adventure was flying the Hudson River corridor past Manhatten,Liberty Island etc.@ 700-900'.Love the STOL stuff in the Maule.I do carry when in Texas and it depends to what state I'm flying to, i.e. N.Y it is just about a capitol offence if caught,as well as other "Feinstein/Kennedy"fascist places.Hope to hear from other "birds of a feather".Oh yeah.......mile high club member........Herman.

119 hrs TT
currently under medicl review. Lie cheat steal, bury bodies, do whatever you can to keep your medical from getting pulled up front because it's nothing but a bitch to get it back.

Currently I am an airline captain and checkairman (train new pilots at the airline). I owned a 1958 Cessna 175 (yes, a 175) before becoming a professional pilot back when I had money.

Fly-Sig.......did you get your official post 9/11 "flightdeck carry deputy blessing" by the TSA? I have SIDA clearance at IAH and have met a few "assorted folks"who were carrying.Lots of expansion here at Bush/Hobby. Have you ever done a N# search to see where that 175 is now? Bet you miss it. I sure miss having my own bird.... mrOw1......3k for 1.52,sounds like a blast.I like all things that "lift".Sooo....you carrying? Ha Ha..........Herman.

I'm a pilot but not active. I got my license in 1976. I flew until I sold my last airplane in 1999.
My first plane was a TriPacer 150 hp and the "T" hanger it was in. Cost was $3,500. Then I owned: 1959 Cessna 175 with 180 conversion and C/S/ prop, 1977 M5 235 Maule ( a real hoot on climb out), a 1952 military Cub PA19 with a 90 hp engine and the "Ernest Hemingway" method of starting---"Farewell to Arms" (no electrical, hence no starter), A RV3 experimental, single seat that I bought, a 1948 Cessna 170 "Rag Wing". I built a Glasair homebuilt but sold my interest to my partner because I didn't fit in it very well. I then built my RV6 (in picture) over a 5 1/2 year period. 180 mph on 150 h.p with a fixed pitch prop. I also hired out to help build other people's homebuilts and was an EAA Technical Counselor. Here's my pride & joy, the RV6 I built and my last plane (sold to pay for college for 2 daughters): ![]() WyoBob

another pilot here
Well, I have the PP-ASEL, along with my Instrument rating.
I currently have around 230 hours in the logbook, however I'm taking a break now due to financial reasons. (although I did get the chance to fly down with some guys to the Bahamas recently! It was an incredible flight that I highly recommend!) |
