I built a Glasair homebuilt but sold my interest to my partner because I didn't fit in it very well. I then built my RV6 (in picture) over a 5 1/2 year period. 180 mph on 150 h.p with a fixed pitch prop. I also hired out to help build other people's homebuilts and was an EAA Technical Counselor.

Here's my pride & joy, the RV6 I built and my last plane (sold to pay for college for 2 daughters):

I am very jealous! Don't go to Vans webpage! They have some cool new planes. Not a pilot, but my father in law flys a sea plane. I have flown with him and (intentional) water landings are cool! As long as you dont rip a pontton on a submerged object, when that happens you sink quick!!

Thanks.

I am looking at going to Huntsville Flight Center where I would use the cheapest option -- a Cessna 172. The other place I am aware of is Executive Flight Center, which has Piper Warriors as the low-end training option. Gotta see who is cheaper, better, and more convenient. I am hoping to sell my Mustang to fund the training.

Also, does anyone here have the recreational license? I understand it can be upgraded later to PPL. What are the limitations?

I am not a pilot, but I just stumbled upon an audio clip that fits the topic of this thread perfectly...

My gun just makes holes the size of Kelsey's gorge, which, by the way, is coming up on the right.

Good one.
