Ancient Weapon
This is my idea of arts and crafts. ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyone have any experience with one of these?

I've never used one but I did have a 'wrist rocket' slingshot when I was a kid. I was pretty good with that.

Until the advent of armored cavalry, slingers were a part of just about every army. They used lead pellets or stones and were very effective. The Greeks and Romans used them, as did most ancient armies. The Chinese used them until late in the 16th century.
This type of weapon is very effective if used in large numbers - many armies had a corp of them and they were quite accurate. Think of it as an early XD....one of those lead pellets could put a world of hurt on you!

Yes I have actually had quite a bit of experience with slings. I started using them when I was a boy scout at about 12 years old. We used to make them out of shoe laces and pieces of tanned deer hide. If you get good you can easily hit small car at about 75 yards
