hey darth, what exactly did you use to make it with? You have sparked my interest in making a new one. In fact, yours looks so nice, you might be able to sell it. I have never seen them made with finger grips, (maybe because I am stuck in the stone age using shoelaces and hide). let us know how the practice is coming.

The projectile pouch and the finger straps are black leather trim material. The orange tubes and balls are actually a glass ceramic type of jewlery beading. They are fine for the retention hand but I have broken the ball on the release cord a couple of times by not controlling it properly and allowing it to hit the ground. The cord is a nylon twine. I use grommets on the pouch and thread to sew the ends of the cord together. I put a little wax on the thread once the sewing is complete to keep it from raveling. All the materials were purchased from local craft stores or K-Mart. That's the beauty of a sling. They're simple to make from almost any type of material.

The design in the photo takes about an hour or two to make depending on how good of a job I do.

My brother and I used to make those out of elk hide when we were younger. We would then use a moist paper towel and fill it with bbs and make a type of shotgun projectile. Good times

Do you guys wanna hear something funny?
I just showed the very first picture of the slingshot to the wife and her sister, (without saying what it was) and both said it looked like some sort of sex toy or torture device
LOL! I found that a bit creepy if you ask me...!!!!
